Earth toned watercolor floral espadrilles
I painted the floral pattern in watercolors and then I digitized the image and gave it an antique linen texture. I played with the color and the result is an earth colored, textured and tonal pattern which pairs well with the espadrille. This pair joins my collection of Afridrilles. Afridrilles shoes are hand made by women in Kenya who also happen to be mothers of children with special needs. The shoes pay me a commission but the Kenyan ladies benefit from economic empowerment and improved access to health facilities. All round general improvement of livelihoods for women in Africa.
