Impressionist fine art postcard with a beautiful vintage painting called "Lise Sewing" by the famous French Impressionist artist Pierre-Auguste Renoir. This classic 19th-century portrait depicts a pretty woman with dark hair caught in a reflective moment, engaged in stitching, unaware of the spectator's presence. The artwork is part of the Dallas Museum of Art collection. Tradition has it that Renoir was in love with Lise Trehot, the woman he portrays in this picture. From 1866 through early 1872, he painted Lise again and again until, in 1872, their relationship ended abruptly with her marriage to another man.
