"和漢百物語 (Wakan hyaku monogatari)“ is a series based on Japanese and Chinese horror stories and heroic anecdotes by 月岡芳年 (Tsukioka Yoshitoshi). ＊No.11 白藤源太（Shirafuji Genta / しらふじ げんた） 白藤源太 (Shirafuji Genta) was the only son of a farmer in the country of 上総 (Kazusa) (present-day Chiba Prefecture). He loved to wrestle and wrestled with many sumo wrestlers, but no one could beat him. His fame spread and many people admired him. One summer, while he was cooling off under a willow tree, a group of 河童 (kappa / water imp) began to wrestle. One kappa wanted a match with Shirafuji. Shirafuji blackmailed him and immediately threw the kappa to death. ＊I used data from the National Diet Library's Digital Collection and made color corrections. ＊Any of my designs can be transferred to over a thousand other items and adjust the design to fit the product if you needed.
