Ptyas nigromarginata, commonly known as the green rat snake or Black-margined Ratsnake, is a species of colubrid snake endemic to Asia. Adults generally average 1.7m but can reach lengths of 2.7m. This is diurnal, fast-moving snake that climb well. With the possible exception of a few localities, nowhere in its range does Ptyas nigromarginata seem to be common. It mainly feeds on frogs but sometimes takes rodents as well.
