William Morris Vintage Sweet Briar Roses Foliage Bone China Mug - Decorating this product is a beautiful design created by John Henry Dearle (1859-1932) and produced by Morris & Co., a firm founded by William Morris in 1861. The design features roses interweave around trailing thorny stems. It should be noted that Dearle was a protege of Morris as well as an employee who continued to work for the firm long after the passing of Morris in 1896.
