Love of Mother, Father, Sister, Family ... Anyone Plaque
Text Copyright Sharon Rhea Ford. I guess with as they say "the wisdom of age", I can say that sometimes parents find it difficult to need our care as they were always the caregivers. I want to add a few versions of this as it is Mother's Day which was just one of many extra special days for Mother, Daddy, and Myself .... as I hope it is for you today. I have to say, it's rough for me and I think it always will be now. They thought I hung the moon (See my Pinterest: https://www.pinterest.com/zazzler/boards/ ), and they were my pals, my heroes, my best friends, my security, my world, and they validated every thing I did daily .... and told me how proud they were of me, I made life worthwhile (Oh My) .... I held the family together they said (No, they were my glue!!!) ... how special I was daily and with goodnight for 59 years. I just pray I did enough to be deserving of them. They were my world. Mother was in my care at home on her death journey (right after Daddy died unexpectedly - the strongest man I ever knew at 82 going all day ....). I took off work for months to be with Mother all day as I would never have it any other way. One day in her pain, Mother reached her frail little fingers up to me and whispered to please help her sit up which I knew was very painful for her. As I did, she slumped against me and barely could I hear her weak voice as she said: Sharon, thank you for a lifetime of being the best daughter and friend I could have ever wished for. Never forget how much I love you. (Okay, you know I'm sobbing now ... : ( This is a rough one for me to do, but I was thinking today about it and the words came to me that might have meaning for your loved ones .... Mother, Daddy, Sister, Aunt, Grandmother .... anyone. Replace the photo and names with your own, and I think your loved one will be touched. For those like me feeling sad today, God Bless You as well as for those like me who did care for my parents, because it was my honor to do so!
