Monument of Philip IV, Plaza de Oriente, Madrid, Spain The fountain monument is located in the center of Plaza de Oriente. The monument was created in the 19th century, but its most important part, the equestrian statue of the king is from the 17th century. The statue was made by Pietro Tacca. The sculptor used paintings of Velazquez during his work. (Tacca was the sculptor of the statue of Philip III too.)
