Indian Woman From Blackfoot Tribe, George Catlin Two-Tone Coffee Mug
- from our Affiliates
This mug has a copy of a vintage painting by George Catlin on both sides. George Catlin was an artist whose goal was to preserve images of Native American culture. He was born in 1796 and died in 1872. His art is now in the public domain. This painting is of a young Indian miss. She has really long hair and is wearing light colored fringed clothing. She stands in front of a teepee. The landscape behind her has a beautiful blue sky and muted greenery. She looks so regal and calm. Other artwork by George Catlin is in my "Art of George Catlin" collection.
