This early 20th century US Social History photo features Vida Milholland after she was arrested and jailed for three days for picketing the White House to pressure President Woodrow Wilson to support women's suffrage. As a renowned women's rights activist and being Inez Milholland's sister, Vida Milholland was an ardent suffragist and an active member of the militant National Woman's Party and a political ally of Alice Paul.
