D-Day, June 6, 1944, the Allied Forces of WW2 stormed the beaches of Normandy, France. D-Day was the beginning of the end for the Axis powers, and a day that freedom lovers of the world shall never forget. Brave soldiers from America, Britain, Canada and all the Allied Nations embarked on Operation Overlord. After crossing the English Channel they attacked beaches codenamed Utah, Omaha, Sword, Gold, and Juno. The operation was the largest amphibious invasion in history.
