Vintage John Henry Dearle Aqua Floral Pattern Long Table Runner - Product is available in three sizes. Cherwell, the pattern decorating this product was designed in 1887 by John Henry Dearle (1859-1932) who was a protege of William Morris. Dearle was a talented designer who started out as an apprentice under William Morris and later rose to the position of chief textile designer at Morris & Co. Some of the firm's most beautiful woven textiles were created under Dearle's leadership. He continued working at the firm Morris & Co. for many years after William Morris passing in 1896.
