Arctic Fox, Crab Boat in Dutch Harbor, Alaska Postcard

The Arctic Fox is a small grey crab fishing boat which worked out of the port of Dutch Harbor, Alaska. The Arctic Fox lost its individual fishing quota for Bering Sea crab fishing and no longer works in that fishery. This photo shows the Arctic Fox leaving Dutch Harbor through the channel which opens into Illiuliuk Bay on Unalaska Island. Unalaska Island is one of the Aleutian Islands of Alaska. Dutch Harbor, Alaska has served as the main port for the commerical fishing vessels in Alaska waters since the post WWII era of Bering Sea commercial fishing.
