Founded in 1912 in East Prussia and part of the Baltic league and later Gauliga. VfB Tilsit's home ground was at Schafferei. Club colours were Blue/Black (mostly black with blue). In 1945 the club was forced to disband as the entire East Prussia was annexed by the USSR.
