Elegant and classic forest green tie with a pattern of the coat of arms of the Duchy of Salzburg, a crown land of the Austrian Empire from 1805 to 1810, and from 1849 to 1918. Still nowadays the coat of arms of the State of Salzburg (Land Salzburg) is the historical coat of arms. The currently valid historical explanation is that the coat of arms was taken from the personal seal of Duke Philipp of Carinthia, who was elected Archbishop of Salzburg from 1246 to 1256.
