This is a bit of humor for anyone who lives in, or has visited, Ma'alot in northern Israel; and something in which to haul purchases from Shufersol or Kanyon Tzim up the hill. A resident of the city is shown at the base of one of the city's long, steep sets of steps; just beginning a long climb to the top. English text reading, "MA'ALOT," "THEY CALL US OLIM FOR A REASON," and "ARE YOU TOUGH ENOUGH FOR THE NORTH?" also appear. You may change the background color. Ma'alot (מעלות) is a Hebrew word which can be translated as "steps." The city itself is located in the Galilee on a collection of mountainous tops - it could definitely be referred to as vertical terrain. Aliyah (עלייה), meaning ascent, is the Hebrew word for immigration to Israel from the diaspora. The Hebrew word "Oim" (singular oleh/olah) is related to "aliyah" and means "those who go up. Together everything makes a, hopefully funny, pun. We want you here in Israel with us. You can do it, you can even learn Hebrew - I did. There are many people here happy to help you. If you do not know how to proceed ask me.
