Carrie Fisher, as Princess Leia, was one of my first childhood heroes and her death in 2016 was really the first celebrity death that really affected me deeply. There was always a humanity to her that influenced and transcended her art and craft. So of course, I took literally inspiration from this quote about taking your broken heart and making it into art.
