Luther's 95 Theses: On Halloween of 1517, Martin Luther changed the course of human history when he nailed his 95 Theses to the church door at Wittenberg, Germany accusing the Roman Catholic Church of Heresy upon heresy. Many people cite this act as the starting point of the Protestant Reformation. When confronted, Luther respectively fully but boldly stated, "Unless I am convinced by proofs from Scriptures or by plain and clear reasons and arguments, I can and will not portract, for it is safe nor wise to anything against conscience. Here I stand. I can do the other. God help me. Amen." On May 25 the Emperor his Edict of Worms issued, Martin Luther an outlaw.
