Benjamin Franklin: called 'The First American' by many biographers and historians. The 10th son of soap maker Josiah Franklin, he was born in Boston on January 17, 1706. He died on April 17, 1790 at the age of 84. Some 20,000 people attended the funeral of the man called 'The Harmonious Human Multitude' and regarded as a sage of his era. Next to Thomas Jefferson, he is perhaps the most quoted of the Founders. This quote, 'Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety' was made to the Pennsylvania Assembly in reply to the Governor on November 11, 1755. An inspirational and historical quote and sticker set suitable for the 4th of July, Memorial Day or any general patriotic everyday use. While the base image is 'locked', all text - including the signature image - can easily be deleted and changed. Please feel free to customize and add photos, sentiments or the quote of your choice. It's fun! This striking theme is available on many products here at Bon Ton Designs. We have bumper stickers. Even buttons. And many more!
