Grumpy Bald Eagle Label
This is a funny photo image of an adult bald eagle with a fierce expression on its face. There are over 600 bald eagles on Unalaska Island. Bald eagles are funny raptors. Even when eagles are smiling they look fierce. Although eagles are predatory birds by nature, bald eagles prefer to scavenge for food instead of killing. This may indicate an innate understanding of conservation of food resources on the part of the eagles. Which would make eagles a lot smarter than human beings. Alaska probably has the largest population of eagles simply because Alaska has more habitat available to eagles and other raptors, as well as a larger food supply in the form of salmon, other types of fish and small game.
