This beautiful white japanese akita is named Noke, her tan coloured ears really stand out. The black brindle akita is named Bullet, his tongue is showing as he gently pants and this makes for an interesting expression for his dog portrait. They're both champion American type akitas and I painted their portrait as a pair of akitas. The two akita champions make a very impressive pair. The original portrait was painted in soft pastel.
