These paintings have been created in soft pastel and watercolor medium and they're worked in a realist style. I like to capture the unique character of each animal I paint. I work from digital photos to paint these pet portraits, I like to work from digital photos because I can use lots of different images of a much loved pet and create a unique portrait, I can zoom right into the photo of the dog and this enables me to get the tiniest of detail.
