This original dog, horse and donkey art 2021 calendar is filled with some of the pictures I've painted over the years. These paintings have been created in soft pastel, water-colour or acrylic medium and they're worked in a realist style. I like to capture the unique character of each animal I paint, and I try to create the texture of the fur and the character in their eyes if I can. Some of the portraits are painted in water-colour and some are in soft pastel, the cute donkey is a pencil drawing. I use digital photos for the pet portraits and other animal paintings, I like to work from digital photos because I can use lots of different images of a much loved pet and create a unique portrait, I can also zoom right into the image in to get the tiniest of detail. I think this calendar will make a wonderful gift for someone special or perhaps you'd like to treat yourself to this little piece of art to hanging on your wall.
