The birch bark texture patterns and the coloured leaves in this design speak so loudly of Fall walks in the woods. This modern, rustic pattern features little birds, their bodies made up of graphic birch bark textures, their wings burnt orange, golden yellow and still green birch leaves. The birds I created using my own nature photography while the leaves I painted by hand in graphic software with digital brushes. The bird and leaf shapes float over a subtle, soft slate blue grey charcoal stripe pattern.
