This is an illustration of the old Lisbon Bridge at sunset in pink hues. The 25 de Abril Bridge or 25th of April Bridge, Portuguese is a suspension bridge connecting Lisbon, the capital of Portugal, to Almada on the left (south) bank of the Tagus river. The bridge was inaugurated in 1966 and named Salazar Bridge after Portuguese Prime Minister Salazar, who ordered its construction. He ruled as a dictator until 1974. Soon after the Carnation Revolution, the bridge was renamed after the day it occurred. Reminiscent in the design and coloring of the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco, it was inaugurated in 1966. Both Lisbon and San Francisco are located on seven hills and have trams for transport and suspension bridges. It has two levels, the top level is for cars and the lower, which was added in 1999 is for trains. When you cross it you get great views of Lisbon, the Tagus, and the Christo Rei statue on the south bank. If you have a friend, co-worker, teacher, or a relative of Portuguese nationality, they will undoubtedly appreciate it. If you want a souvenir of Portugal, this graceful and iconic bridge is ideal for you. And if you are planning a trip to Lisbon and can't stop thinking about what awaits you in Lisbon, maybe offering yourself a treat will feel good, too! All words are customizable. The style is simple, this illustration is in soft pink tones and is marked by the contrast of the reddish-orange tones of the bridge's painted structure. It was inspired by vintage travel posters. As, always, you can change the words, the font, the colors, place it elsewhere, or remove it.
