She is wearing traditional Hungarian fur coat called the "guba" - she is wearing red head scarf and holding some yarn . The original painting was made by the Stokes and published in a travel book in 1909 . The book illustration was retouched by Alma Wad . Artistic heritage gift for Hungarians , especially for those from Transylvania.
