Va'kôhe'hamehe Born in 1850, Bobtail Horse belonged to Himoiyoqis (Crooked Lances) war society. At the Little Bighorn battle, he was one of the first warriors to cross the river at "Medicine Tail Ford" and fire against the vanguard of the left wing of Custer battalion, Company E the gray horse company. Bobtail Horse captured two grey horses from Company E during the battle. He later became a scout under General Nelson Miles.
