DEER IN A MONASTERY BY FRANZ MARC DECOUPAGE WRAPPING PAPER Affiliate icon

A colorful and surprisingly modern design of abstract art done in 1914 by German artist Franz Marc .This is typical of Marc's approach of depicting animal in a colorful abstract way. Here we see a deer in a monastery garden at peace in it's surroundings. Franz Marc was a part of the Der Blaue Reiter (Blue Rider) art group whose passion was in expressionist art work. Other famous artists of this group included Paul Klee, August Macke and Wassily Kandinsky. Marc's favorite method of expressionism was painting animals in their pure but prismatic forms in bright colors. Following his tragic death in WWI his fellow expressionist painters mournfully disbanded the Blue Rider group. Decoupage artists NOTE: this wrapping paper is 2.5 times as thick as the 18b tissue paper. This design does come in the thinner paper in smaller sizes. This 6" roll has two images that are 3 feet wide each. For the tissue paper option and for more artwork from Marc and other artists in this movement see the SalvageScape store collection THE BLUE RIDER
