One of the most sought after storybooks in European libraries in the mid 1800s, this now forgotten tale was the inspiration for Hans Christian Anderson's The Little Mermaid. Originally written in German, Undine is a legend about a water nymph who marries a human knight to gain a soul. This antique artwork is from the famous folk tale illustrator Arthur Rackham. This image will have a lithograph looking print texture.
