LEONARDO DA VINCIS HEAD OF LEDA TISSUE PAPER Affiliate icon

One of Leonardo da Vinci's lesser known pieces completed in the early 16th century. The Head of Leda is a beautiful sketch of a woman of beauty with intracate and elaborately coiled and braided hair in a downward gaze that da Vinci is so well known for. This is thought to be a study for one of da Vinci's lost paintings known as Leda and the Swan. A mythological tale of Jupiter tranforming himself into a swan to get to this beautiful lady. The painting was thought to be destroyed sometime in the 18th century. A few sketches for the study of the painting are all that is left. The text can be deleted in the edit function if the sketch alone is desired. For other Da Vinci and Italian Renaissance fine art see the SalvageScapes store collection ITALIAN RENAISSANCE. Decoupage artists NOTE: If you order either of the two largest sizes of the 10lb tissue paper the image will be printed and shipped with a fold across the image (see pics of product to note where the fold occurs). For distressed or aged projects, or simple tissue paper use, this may not be be an issue - but for more fine art detailed projects we suggest ordering the 18lb tissue or the collection of heavy weight decoupage sheets, both of these are printed without a fold and will not effect the image.
