A collection of fauvist style expressionist portraits done by The Blue Rider artist Alexej von Jawlensky from the early 1900s. Russian born, Jawlensky joined the other Blue Riders in Germany in pursuit of freedom from traditional styles of art, saturating their works with color and defining their subjects with more abstraction.
