A classical style romatic garden painting done by John William Waterhouse in 1903. Titled The Soul of a Rose after a line of prose from Alfred Lord Tennyson's poem "Come into the Garde, Maude": And the soul of the rose went into my blood, As the music clash'd in the hall; And long by the garden lake I stood, For I heard your rivulet fall From the lake to the meadow and on to the wood, Our wood, that is dearer than all Decoupage artists NOTE: this matte value paper is 2.5 times the thickness of the decoupage tissue papers.
