One of the most spectacular examples of early 19th century art in the Fauvism style. Completed by Russian artist Alexej von Jawlensky in 1909 in a masterful blend of dramtic color contrast but in a truely complimentary way. Similar to the famous style of Matisse Jawlensky uses bright colors but tones down the usual wild or sloppier brushwork of his fellow fauvists and merges into the impressionist genre. This ditigitally enhanced piece is high resolution and has a muted effect on the original bright green skin tone in the original portrait done by Jawlensky.
