Cholla Cactus Flower Pastel Yellow And Pink Shower Curtain
Featured on this mug is a pretty original photo by Karen Coffelt of a pale pastel yellow staghorn cholla cactus flower with pink accents. The cholla cactus is one of the most prickly in the cactus world having barbed spines that are painful to pull out and will make a person bleed. This particular variety does not have segments that "jump" off when you brush up against it, but they are still just as painful if you get stuck by them. There are staghorn and buckhorn cholla cacti, and I have trouble telling them apart. They seem to have several different colors of flowers, but the same color all on one "bush". Spring in the Sonoran Desert is my favorite time of year when many different cactus species are in bloom. It's quite magical!
