Southwest Desert Mountains Weavers Needle Arizona Poster Affiliate icon

This 24" x 18" poster print features an original photo by Karen Coffelt of mountains in the Sonoran Desert of Arizona at sunset with iconic Weaver's Needle reaching high in the sky with a trio of saguaro cacti. This scene was photographed from the Picketpost Trail in Superior, Arizona, part of the famed Arizona Trail. Weaver's Needle is a 1,000 foot-high column of rock in Superstition Wilderness that forms a distinctive peak that is visible for miles around. It is a volcanic remnant with a summit elevation of 4,555 feet (1,388 m). The peak was named after mountain man Pauline Weaver. Weaver's Needle has played a significant role in the stories of the Lost Dutchman's Gold Mine. It is said that the Needle's shadow indicates the location of a rich vein of gold, and many treasure hunters have searched for it and still do to this day.
