Fríge/Frigg/Freyja/Friagabis is a witch and seer, and wife of Woden/Odin/Odr. She is depicted here as the wild sorceress, goddess of both magic and those slain in battle, and of agricultural fertility and motherhood. She is Woden's teacher and confidant, his love and his tie to Ésageard/Asgard even while wandering on earth. Fríge knows the sadness of seeing the future, and has the strength of a witch, warrior, and mother. She is both wild and domestic, untamable and taming; a wonderful contradiction who embodies all facets of womanhood.
