Garter Snake on Rocks (Green Border)-Thamnophis Postcard
This item features a photograph of a garter snake sunning itself on some rocks. The rocks are many shades of grey to almost white and there is a shadow partially covering the snake. A few dry dead leaves and a couple of fresh green leaves also appear in the photo. Upon closer examination you will notice the snake is partially wrapped around a thick stalk of grass that has a fly on it. I originally thought about removing the fly with Photo Shop but decided to leave it as it appeared in nature. A green border surrounds the photograph. "Thamnophis" and "Garter Snake" are shown in an attractive black font with can easily be changed since this item is set up as a template. After discovering this beautiful snake one early morning by my garden, I grabbed my camera and got a few nice shots of it. I was pleasantly surprised that it showed up many mornings during that summer to enjoy the rocks that had been warmed by the morning sun.
