Baby Bib - Pure Lemon Pansy
The name, pansy, is a derivation of the French word "pensee" which literally translates to "thought". In his play, MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM, Shakespeare chose a concoction of pansy juice as a love potion. In Victorian times, a small bouquet of pansies meant, "Think of me." Some believe the pansy to be a charmed flower of telepathic magic, claiming that attending the plucked flower you could hear a lover's thoughts. The pansy is also thought to have the power to strengthen one's memory, which could be used to remember all the "common" names for pansies: "heart's ease", "three faces under a hood", "flame flower", "jump up and kiss me", and "Johnny jump ups".
