This bag's print makes use of the the amazingly detailed Toile de Jouy fabric print called "Pleasures of the Farm", manufactured by Oberkampf Manufactory of France. The date is estimated to be 1785-90 (the time of the French Revolution), and the designer was Jean-Baptiste Huet I. An assortment of domesticated animals is pictured, including cattle, sheep, cats, dogs, geese, donkeys, chickens and ducks. There are fishermen on a river, a farm house and men, women and children.
