This is the idea that the problems of this world...hunger, poverty, racism, war, genocide, infanticide, abortion, slavery, disease, etc. seem to be overwhelming and endless. As a Christian, I'm not sure where to start to help alleviate these miseries. Add to that, leaders that want to build monuments to themselves, preach a prosperity doctrine, tell me that I'm sinning for watching an "R"- rated movie, all the while denigrating someone else in respectable language masquerading as "constructive criticism" and no wonder I'm asking questions.
