This version of Remington's portable Remette typewriter was issued to commemorate the 1939 World's Fair in New York. The decal on top shows the two main structures of the fair, the 600-foot Trylon tower and the 200-foot-diameter Perisphere. Visitors could go inside the Perisphere to view a diorama of the city of the future. This typewriter is very loud because the type bars have to pivot 180 degrees to smack into the platen.
