Amak Island is an uninhabited island in Aleutians East Borough, Alaska, USA. The island lies north of the western tip of the Alaska Peninsula, and northwest of the mainland city of Cold Bay. The island's land area is 5.828 square miles and its maximum elevation is 1,601 feet. The island's volcano, Mount Amak, last erupted in 1796. Alaska is the largest state in the United States by area. It is situated in the northwest extremity of the North American continent, with Canada to the east, the Arctic Ocean to the north, and the Pacific Ocean to the west and south, with Russia further west across the Bering Strait. Approximately half of Alaska's 710,231 residents live within the Anchorage metropolitan area. Alaska is the 49th state. Everyone loves to travel. Personally, I would love to travel to all 50 states and explore outside countries. Since I am from America, I will try to get the best of each state. Then adding from places like Europe and the down under would complete this shop.
