Giant Red Sand Dunes at Sunrise in Namibia Jigsaw Puzzle
- from our Affiliates
Early morning sunlight casts shadows across Big Daddy, one of the most massive red sand dunes of the Sossusvlei area in Namibia's Namib-Naukluft National Park. The dunes in this desert area are among the highest in the world with many over 200 meters tall. The red-orange color of the sand is due to a high concentration of oxidized iron in the sand.
