Spread the word! Sometimes the simplest option is to make a statement by wearing it so get to it! If you're feeling excited and proud to exercise your right to vote, this is the way to go. Measures were passed or implemented in 19 states that make it harder to vote. In 2013, the U.S. Supreme Court struck down what had been called the “heart†of the Voting Rights Act. Politicians across the country continue to engage in voter suppression; efforts that include additional obstacles to registration, cutbacks on early voting, and strict voter identification requirements. It is time to stand up to attempts to curtail an essential right in our democracy, the right to vote.
