About "The Look Back" by Skye Ryan-Evans © A young black Timber Wolf takes a wistful look back as he leaves his pack for the first time, to hunt alone. A poignant expression plays across his face as he betrays mixed feelings about his departure. Wolves are incredibly sensitive, intelligent creatures. Their range of emotions rivals Man's and they are capable of far more complex social interactions than is as yet understood by us. This gentle work was created recently after the artist completed a 11 week journey across Canada capturing images of wildlife and wondrous scenery.
