Seas and Greetings Submarine Christmas Card- Silver Dolphins Seas and Greetings! It's time for a submarine Christmas! This lovely nautical design features original watercolor art by Katie Scarlett Faile. Nestled in a botanical, mistletoe, and berry holiday wreath sits a beautiful moonlit submarine scene. You can imagine the sailors who serve surfaced there on a snowy night looking up in the hopes of spotting reindeer overhead. It's a lovely holiday card that celebrates our submarine community. *Artists note: I painted this scene one evening when my husband was deployed. It was right before Christmas and I was up late in the studio painting when I looked out the window to see the world awash in moonlight and snow. I knew my sailor was deployed on a northern run and smiled to I imagine that maybe he was somewhere on the sea’s surface in his little black boat looking up at the same snowy moonlit sky thinking of me as I thought of him. I painted my little imagined scene in the hopes that the scene would speak to others, conveying all that love, joy, and pride we feel over the holidays for our sailors who may be happily at home or deployed looking for reindeer in moonlit, snowy, Christmas skies far from home.
