This is an Alebrijes Boxer that was commissioned by a client. Alebrijes are Mexican folk art sculptures of whimsical carvings depicting animals, people, objects, and imaginary creatures painted with intense colors and intricate patterns. It is believed that every person has a Spirit Guide called an “Alebrije.” The tales of these Alebrijes have been passed down in fables and folklore from generation to generation. These animals are guides, protectors, and mischief makers.
