National flag of Portugal The Portuguese flag is red and green in colour, with unevenly sized vertical bands and the Portuguese lesser coat of arms on top. The flag was adopted in 1911, and has a 2:3 ratio. You can personalise the design further if you'd prefer, such as by adding your name or other text, changing the background colour, or adjusting the image - just click 'Customize it' to see all the options.
