Pericles of Athens, one of the inventors of democracy, said, "Our public men have, besides politics, their private affairs to attend to, and our ordinary citizens, though occupied with the pursuits of industry, are still fair judges of public matters; for, unlike any other nation, they regard him who takes no part in these duties not as unambitious but as useless." As a Vietnam vet we fought for freedom and each other. I have no qualm about peaceful, lawful freedom of expression on political, social and human rights in any forum, public or private. It is our American Way. Up the rebels. We are all in this together. Vote blue and progressive.
