- from our Affiliates
This tile features a child with an open book under a fruit tree with an attentive audience including a pair of ducks, a dog, mouse, frog, cat, owl, and more. The artwork, by Walter Crane, first appeared in his 1887 illustrations for "Baby's Own Aesop." Aesop was a slave and storyteller who lived in Greece around 650-520 BCE. Baby's Own Aesop presents the famed fables in short rhymes. The book and Crane's illustrations, which were also printed on tiles, are still popular today. Available in 4.5" and 6" tiles, as well as other items.
