This is one of a pair of beautiful art nouveau border tiles featuring an interwoven floral clematis vine on a teal blue background. The original is by Villeroy & Boch and dates to 1905. Use them to edge a dado of tiles, accent a wall of tile, delineate a backsplash, or frame a table or mirror. The original is a slightly dimensional tube lined tile but this one is done in the trompe l'oeil (fool the eye) style so, although it looks dimensional, the tile is actually flat (and easier to use and clean since there are no crevices to trap dirt).
